Theme: Ensuring Species and Ecosystem Conservation for the Future: Theory, Challenges and Practices

Objectives
1. Acquire specific knowledge on the process of the assessment of different endangered species from national to international level.
2. Understand the most updated situation of the threated and endangered species on the regional and international level.
Justification
Asia is the fastest-growing continent in terms of population and its impacts on species and their habitats. Red listing is an urgent requirement to update policies governing species conservation in Asia. This event is intended to provide a platform for local and international participants to obtain more in-depth knowledge of the IUCN Redlist process and mechanisms.
Who should attend the Symposium?
Policymakers, government agencies related to natural history conservation, researchers, conservationists, students, members of conservation-focus Non-Governmental Organisation.
